The short version
Your notes live on your devices and in your own iCloud. We don't see them, sell them, or use them for anything. There are no ads, no trackers and no analytics in Jotgrid.

Your notes
Everything you write, draw, record or photograph in Jotgrid is stored on your device and, if iCloud sync is on, in your own private iCloud, so it reaches your other Apple devices. It's never uploaded to us, and we can't see it: iCloud is Apple's service, under Apple's privacy policy. If you export your workspace, the file goes wherever you choose to send it.
Your account
Jotgrid needs an account. We store its email address and an account ID so you can sign in, and nothing else about you. With Sign in with Apple, Apple may give us a private relay address instead of your real one. Accounts are held by our provider, Supabase, in the European Union (Frankfurt). We use this only to run your account, never for marketing, and we don't share it with anyone else.
Your membership
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details. The app checks with Apple whether your membership is active.
Voice notes
Voice notes are recorded on your device. Turning them into text happens on your device where it can; where it can't, Apple's speech recognition may process the audio, under Apple's privacy policy. We never receive your recordings.
Notifications
Timers, cooldown warnings and your trial reminder are scheduled on your device. Nothing is sent to us.
Your rights
You can see, correct, export or delete what we hold. Delete your account from ≡ › Account, which removes it and everything stored with it, straight away. Under UK and EU data protection law you can also complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
Children
Jotgrid isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly hold their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be in the app and on our website, with the date it changed.
